Privacy Policy - Auto Join for Google Meet
Effective Date: October 1, 2024
Auto Join Google Meet ("the extension") is a Google Chrome extension designed to simplify your workflow by automatically joining scheduled Google Meet meetings.
We do not collect any user data.
The extension operates locally within your browser and does not transmit any information to external servers, including ours. This means we do not collect, store, or share any of the following:
Personally Identifiable Information: We do not collect your name, email address, browsing history, location, or any other information that could identify you.
Meeting Data: We do not collect information about your Google Meet meetings, such as meeting IDs, participants, or meeting content.
Locally stored data
The extension collects the meeting ID and name and stores it locally on your browser’s local storage so that it does not rejoin a meeting you have just left.
In addition, settings for the extension to operate are stored in the browser's local storage. This data is not transmitted externally.
Permissions:
The extension requests the following permissions:
tabs - To check if the meeting or the Google Meet landing page is already open
storage - To store the last meetings attended and to store user settings.
tts - To let the user know when they have auto-joined a meeting.
Changes to this Privacy Policy:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you if we make any material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy.
